A Yagi-Uda antenna (often just called a Yagi antenna) is a directional RF antenna made of multiple metal elements (a driven element plus parasitic reflectors and directors) mounted on a central boom. It focuses the radio energy in one direction to achieve higher gain and longer range compared with omnidirectional antennas. The design works by constructive and destructive interference from the elements, improving forward radiation and reducing signals behind the antenna.
